Hotels
New Zealand has a wide range of accommodation and places to stay but to all of it there is one catch: the Kiwis are great travellers. Even Australians fall behind the New Zealanders when it comes to hitting the road - a greater proportion of New Zealanders have passports than in any other country and when they are jaunting around at home. Emergency services are available through most hotels and motels.
Electricity is supplied at 230/240 volts, 50 hertz. Most hotels provide 110 voltac sockets for electric razors.
