Evening Entertainment

Much of the night fife revolves around the hotels, where musicians entertain and bands play for dancing. Some towns have weekend cabaret entertainment.

Touring national and overseas artists visit the major centers, and local theater groups perform in the larger cities. Civic and university groups also offer music and drama. The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Bal let, and the Opera Company tour on both islands. Maoris entertain in their traditional style in Rotorua.
